Characteristics of the substance Acexamic acid

White or white with a yellowish tint fine crystalline powder with a weak specific odor. Soluble in water.

Pharmacology

Pharmacological action - decongestant, accelerating wound healing, stimulating the growth of granulations.

It is an aminocaproic acid derivative, but does not possess the properties of a fibrinolysis inhibitor. Accelerates the clearance of the wound surface from necrotic masses, reduces exudative processes, activates the growth of granulation tissue, vascularization and epithelization of wounds. Stimulates the formation of bone calluses, accelerates the growth of fractures of bones. Prevents the development of keloid scars.

Application of Acexamic acid

Long-lasting non-healing wounds, skin and mucous burns, chronic traumatic osteomyelitis, closed and long-lasting incomplete fractures of bones, prevention of hyper-scarring, acceleration of the formation of a postoperative cosmetic scar, acceleration of engraftment of auto- and homotransplants.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, purulent and infected wounds, pregnancy.
