Pharmacological group: diuretics
Pharmacological action: thiazide diuretics medium strength. Reduces Na + reabsorption in the cortical segment of the loop of Henle, without affecting its portion extending into the renal medulla, which determines a weaker diuretic effect compared with furosemide.
