Description of dosage form

Capsules: hard gelatinous, size 3, the lid of orange color is opaque, the case of yellow color is opaque.

The contents of the capsule are light beige powder.

Pharmachologic effect

Mode of action - immunomodulating.

Pharmacodynamics

Immunopharmacological studies have shown that Uro-Wax has the following action:

- stimulates T-lymphocytes;

- induces the formation of endogenous interferon;

- increases the content of IgA, incl. In the urine.

Clinical Pharmacology

Clinical studies have shown that Uro-Vaxom reduces the frequency of recurrences of infections of the urinary tract, especially cystitis.

Indications for the drug Uro-Vaxom

Combined treatment and prevention of recurrences of chronic urinary tract infection, especially cystitis, regardless of the nature of microorganisms, in combination with antibiotics or antiseptics (from the age of 4).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Application in pregnancy and breastfeeding

The study of reproduction in animals showed no danger to the fetus, but no controlled studies were conducted in pregnant women. With regard to breastfeeding, no special studies have been conducted and there is no information on this issue to date.

Side effects

Individuals may experience minor gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, nausea, vomiting), skin reactions (itching, exanthema, erythema) and limited allergic skin reactions. Rarely is a small fever. In the case of more severe complications, treatment should be discontinued and consulted by the attending physician.

Interaction

Interaction with other drugs has not been established to date. As a precaution, do not use the drug for 2 weeks before and within 2 weeks after ingestion of live vaccines. Immunosuppressive drugs can affect the effect of the drug.

Dosing and Administration

Inside.

Treatment: 1 caps. Daily in the morning on an empty stomach as an additional drug during routine antimicrobial therapy, until the symptoms disappear, but not less than 10 days. The maximum duration of treatment is 3 months.

Prevention of recurrences of chronic infection of the urinary tract: 1 caps. Daily in the morning on an empty stomach for 3 months.

In case the child is difficult to swallow the capsule, it should be opened and mixed with the drink (fruit juice, milk, etc.).

Duration of treatment or the appointment of a repeat course of therapy should be determined by the doctor, based on the patient's health status.

Overdose

Information on cases of overdose are absent. The nature of Uro-Vax and the results of studying its toxicity on animals indicate that an overdose is unlikely.
