Sorbifer Durules has an anti-anemic effect that compensates for iron deficiency.
Indications:
Iron-deficiency anemia; deficiency of iron. Preventive use in pregnancy, lactation and blood donors.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components Sorbifer Durules, stenosis of the esophagus and / or obstructive changes in the digestive tract, increased iron content in the body (hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis), impaired iron utilization (lead anemia, sideroblastic anemia, hemolytic anemia), children under 12 years of age due to lack of clinical data).
Suggested Use:
Dragee and tablets are taken orally (without chewing), 30 minutes before meals, drinking 100 ml of liquid. After the normalization of hemoglobin, treatment is carried out for 1-3 months until the saturation of the iron depot in the body is complete.
The usual dose of the drug in terms of elementary iron for adults is 100-200 mg / day for treatment, 100 mg / day for prevention and maintenance therapy.
Children - 3 mg / kg / day.
Sorbifer durules (1 tablets contains 320 mg of iron sulfate and 60 mg of ascorbic acid): adults are prescribed 2 tab. 3 times / day. With anemia in I-II trimesters of pregnancy - 1 tab. 1 time / day, in the third trimester and during lactation - 1 tab. 2 times / day.
Special instructions:
Effective only with iron deficiency anemia and ineffective in anemia of other etiology.
Avoid simultaneous prescription with other iron-containing drugs (risk of overdose).
Staining of feces in a dark (black) color against the background of taking iron-containing preparations has no clinical significance.
