Ocumethyl eye drops - is a combined anti-inflammatory drug for topical application in ophthalmology. It has antiseptic and antiallergic effect, removes symptoms of eye irritation, eliminates edema of the mucous membrane of the eye.

Ocumethyl is a combined preparation containing zinc sulfate, diphenhydramine and naphazoline.

Zinc sulfate, when applied topically, has astringent, drying, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects.

Nafazoline is a sympathomimetic. Has a rapid, pronounced and prolonged vasoconstrictive effect. With topical application reduces swelling and flushing of the mucous membranes.

Diphenhydramine - blocker of H1-histamine receptors. With topical application reduces the permeability of capillaries and prevents swelling of the tissues.

Thus, Ocumethyl has antiseptic, anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects.

Indications:

• Chronic nonspecific conjunctivitis and blepharoconjunctivitis.
• Allergic conjunctivitis and blepharoconjunctivitis.
• Angular conjunctivitis.
• Reduction of symptoms of irritation of eye tissues (redness, itching, sensation of foreign body).

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
• Closed-angle glaucoma.
• Syndrome of "dry eye".
• Pregnancy.
• Lactation.
• Hyperplasia of the prostate.
• Stenosing ulcer of the stomach and duodenum.
• Stenosis of the neck of the bladder.
• Bronchial asthma.
• Epilepsy.
• Cardiovascular diseases (IHD, arterial hypertension).
• Pheochromocytoma.
• Hyperfunction of the thyroid gland.
• Diabetes.
• Severe atherosclerosis.
• Children up to 2 years.

Apply with caution in patients taking MAO inhibitors or other drugs that increase blood pressure.

Suggested Use:

If there are no other prescriptions of the doctor, then instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye (eyes) 2-3 times a day.

If during the application of the drug within 72 hours there is no reduction in symptoms, you should stop using the drug and consult a doctor..
