Description of dosage form

Homogeneous ointment from light yellow to yellow.

Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, keratolytic, anti-seborrheic, dermatoprotective.

Retinoic acid - a biologically active form of vitamin A, is involved in the regulation of cell differentiation.

Clinical Pharmacology

It inhibits the hyperproliferation of the epithelium of the excretory ducts of the sebaceous glands, reduces the formation of sebum, facilitates its evacuation, reduces the inflammatory reaction around the glands. Strengthens the regeneration processes in the skin.

Indications

Acne vulgaris, seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea, perioral dermatitis.

Contraindications

It is not recommended to apply to large areas of the skin during pregnancy, breast-feeding and women planning pregnancy. Do not prescribe to patients receiving other drugs from the group of retinoids. With caution - with chronic liver disease, kidney disease, chronic pancreatitis, cardiac decompensation.

Side effects

Passing reddening of the skin, new rashes from the 2nd week of treatment, not requiring withdrawal of the drug. Sometimes - an individual intolerance.

Possible (with prolonged use) - cheilitis, conjunctivitis, dryness and peeling of the skin.

Interaction

The effect of the ointment is weakened with the simultaneous administration of tetracycline antibiotics, as well as the local application of glucocorticosteroids.

Dosing and Administration

Outwardly. For acne and rosacea apply a thin layer on the affected skin 2 times a day. Duration of treatment - 4-12 weeks. Repeated course is possible after consultation with a doctor.
