Composition and release form

1 tablet contains pentoxyl 0.2 g; In a contour acheikova packing 10 pcs., In a cardboard bundle 1 packing.

Pharmachologic effect

Mode of action - Anabolic, leukopoietic.

It inhibits the dephosphorylation of uridine phosphate, necessary for the formation of thymidine monophosphate, used in the synthesis of DNA.

Indication of the drug Pentoxylum

Leukopenia, agranulocyte angina, alimentary-toxic aleukia, intoxication with benzene.

Contraindications

Hemoblastosis, leukemia, and lymphogranulomatosis.

Side effects

Dyspepsia, headache, dizziness, allergic reactions.

Dosing and Administration

Inside, after eating, adults - 0.2-0.4 g 3-4 times a day; Children over 12 years - 0.1-0.15 g. The course of treatment - 15-20 days.
