Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic.

Inhibits the biosynthesis of PG (prostaglandins) due to inhibition of cyclooxygenase involved in the metabolism of arachidonic acid.

Pharmacodynamics

It suppresses the inflammatory reaction, depresses the migration of polymorphonuclear granulocytes to the inflammatory focus, reduces the production of mucopolysaccharides, relieves joint stiffness, reduces the raised body temperature, weakens the pains of small and medium intensity, and possesses anticoagulant activity.

Indications

Rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, post-traumatic and other inflammatory joint conditions, tendovaginitis, synovitis, acute gout attacks, phlebitis, Bartter's syndrome, neuralgia, myalgia.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity (including to other NSAIDs), gastrointestinal ulcer, liver and kidney disease, bronchial asthma, epilepsy, psychosis, Parkinson's disease, visual impairment, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, hyperbilirubinemia, pregnancy, lactation (breastfeeding should be abandoned ).

Interaction

Increases the concentration in the blood and toxicity of gentamicin and amikacin. Ethyl alcohol increases the likelihood of side effects; derivatives of salicylic acid - a negative effect on the gastrointestinal tract.
