Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiallergic, antipruritic.
Oppresses phospholipase A2, reduces the synthesis of PG (prostaglandins) and other biologically active substances (fluocinolone); Breaks the structure and function of cytoplasmic membranes of microbial cells and causes their death (neomycin).
Pharmacodynamics
Reduces permeability and changes the structure of tissue and cell formations, reduces the migration of macrophages and lymphocytes, affects all phases of inflammation, blocks the release of sensitized mast cells and basophils of histamine and other biologically active substances, has anti-allergic and antipruritic effect. It is active against numerous gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, incl. Resistant to other aminoglycosides.
Indications
Allergic and inflammatory skin diseases complicated by a secondary bacterial infection, trophic ulcers of the shins, furunculosis, folliculitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, tuberculosis, viral and fungal skin infections, primary purulent infections of the skin and soft tissues.
pregnancy and lactation
Not recommended (especially on large areas of the skin and / or prolonged use).
Side effects
Skin and subcutaneous fat atrophy, lupus-like syndrome with mild course, appearance or exacerbation of symptoms of red flat lichen, epithelialization disorders, slow healing of wounds and ulcerative lesions, petechiae, steroid purpura, striae, hirsutism, female alopecia, herpes, maculopapular skin rash.
Dosing and Administration
Externally, a small amount is applied to the affected skin 2-3 times a day, no more than 2 g / day, after remission of the acute inflammatory process - 1-2 times a day. If necessary, apply a breathable bandage. With excessive peeling of the stratum corneum of the epidermis (lichenization) or excessive keratinization of the altered areas, an occlusive dressing can be used, which is changed every 24-48 hours. The course of continuous treatment is no more than 2 weeks.
Children older than 2 years with caution, only once a day on small areas of the skin.
It should not be used during pregnancy, during breastfeeding, in children under 2 years.
Precautionary measures
For prolonged use and when applied to large areas of the skin (under occlusive dressings), patients should undergo systematic examinations (systemic side effects may occur).
