Composition (per tablet): 1 ml of a solution for intranasal administration contains dihydroergotamine mesylate 4 mg; in vials of amber glass, 1 ml, complete with device-spray.

Pharmacological effect of Synkapton

Indications for Synkapton

Contraindications for Synkapton

Side effect

Interaction

Macrolide antibiotics (erythromycin, troleandomycin, josamycin, midecamycin) increase the level of dihydroergotamine in plasma; vasoconstrictor drugs (ergotamine, sumatriptan, nicotine) increase the likelihood of vascular spasms.

Dosage and Administration

Intranasal. Adults at the first sign of a migraine attack in each nostril administered at 0.5 mg (one injection). one injection into one or both nostrils - if not achieved a substantial improvement, not earlier than 15 minutes, an additional dose may be administered. The maximum dose for relief of an attack - 2 mg. Prior to treatment, following a migraine attack (using the same maximum dose) should be kept the time interval of at least 8 hours maximum daily dose -. 4 mg (8 injections). Precautions
