The pharmacological action is antiparkinsonian.

It blocks central n-cholino-and peripheral m-cholinergic receptors.

indications

Parkinsonism of different etiology; Extrapyramidal disorders caused by neuroleptics; Parkinson's and Little's disease; Spastic paralysis caused by lesions of the extrapyramidal system (in the form of monotherapy or in combination with levodopa).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, glaucoma (especially zakratougolnaya), gastrointestinal obstruction, atrial fibrillation, prostate adenoma, pregnancy.

Side effects

Dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness, nervousness, delirium, hallucinations, impaired vision, increased intraocular pressure, constipation, urinary retention, tachycardia, skin rash, purulent parotitis (with prolonged use).

Interaction

Tricyclic antidepressants, phenothiazine derivatives, and other cholinolytics increase the likelihood of side effects. Weaken the effect of sublingual nitrates (due to dry mouth).

Dosing and Administration

Inside, during or before meals. The dose is selected individually. The initial dose is 0.5-1 mg / day, in the future it is gradually increased by 1-2 mg every 3-5 days until the optimal effect is achieved; The frequency of reception is 3-4 times a day. Maximum doses for adults: single dose - 10 mg, daily - 16 mg.

With simultaneous application with levodopa, the dose of cyclodol is 3-6 mg / day.

Precautionary measures

With caution apply for diseases of the cardiovascular system, liver and kidneys. It is necessary to cancel treatment gradually. Perhaps the development of addiction (especially in patients with mental illness). Do not use during work drivers of vehicles and people whose profession is associated with increased concentration of attention. During treatment, intraocular pressure should be monitored regularly.
