Composition and release form

Pharmachologic effect

Mode of action - antiparkinsonian, dopaminomimetic.

Influences the metabolism of dopamine and norepinephrine in the CNS, reduces release of serotonin, reduces blood levels of catecholamines. It inhibits the secretion of the hormones of the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland, especially prolactin and somatotropin.

Clinical Pharmacology

Oppresses uterine contractions, dilates blood vessels. Reduces tremors, stiffness, akinesia and posture disorder in parkinsonism.

Indications for the Bromergon

Hyperprolactinemia with infertility, amenorrhea, galactorrhea, or impairment in the luteal phase of the ovarian cycle; Galactorrhea with normal prolactin in the blood; Fibrocystic mastopathy; Postpartum and non-prenatal mastitis; Mastopathy; premenstrual syndrome; Prolactinoma; acromegaly; Parkinsonism.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity (including to ergot alkaloids), uncontrolled arterial hypertension, pregnancy.

Side effects

Nasal congestion, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dyspepsia, orthostatic hypotension, fatigue, sleepiness, cold vasoconstriction, impaired bladder function vasospasms fingers in patients with Parkinson's with high doses - agitation, mental disorders (hallucinations, mental confusion, psychotic , Paranoid and manic states), dyskinesia.

Interaction

Alcohol and other drugs that depress the central nervous system increase the effect of the drug on psychophysical abilities.

Dosing and Administration

Inside, during a meal - 2.5 mg 2-3 times a day for several months (giperlaktinemiya, infertility, galactorrhea, breast, postpartum, neposlerodovoy mastitis), when the cyclic and non-cyclic mastitis - 2.5 mg 2 times day during ovulation, PMS - 2.5 mg 2 times a day from 14th day of the menstrual cycle until the onset of menstruation; in acromegaly and prolaktinome - 5-10 mg 2 times a day (up to 60 mg per day), Parkinsonism (in ineffectiveness combination "levodopa + carbidopa") initial dose - 1.25 mg in the evening, then - 2.5 mg 2 times per day with gradual increase in the dose to 30-100 mg daily (in combination with a "levodopa + carbidopa" mean dose - 15-30 mg per day).
