Pharmacology
Pharmacological action - antibacterial, keratolytic.
Active with Propionibacterium acnes. Reduces the content of lipids and fatty acids, has a moderate desquamative effect, reducing the appearance of comedones and acne. With local application is almost not absorbed. A small amount absorbed by the skin is metabolized to benzoic acid and excreted in the form of benzoate with urine.
