Pharmachologic effect
Mode of action - Immunosuppressive, complexing.
It is capable of chelating. It suppresses T-helper function of lymphocytes, inhibits neutrophil chemotaxis and lysosomal enzyme release, enhances macrophage functions, reduces the level of insoluble collagen.
Pharmacodynamics
Forms chelate complexes with ions of copper, mercury, lead, iron, arsenic, calcium, zinc, cobalt, gold. When interacting with cysteine, a disulfide appears, which has a much higher solubility than cysteine.

Poisoning by heavy metals (copper, gold, lead, mercury, cobalt, zinc), Wilson-Konovalov's disease, rheumatoid arthritis (including juvenile), primary biliary cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis, scleroderma, cystinuria, cystinosis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, violation of hemopoiesis, agranulocytosis, myasthenia gravis, nephropathy, pregnancy.
Side effects
Dyspeptic disorders, hematopoietic depression, cholestatic syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, polymyositis, dermatomyositis, fever, arthralgia, lymphadenitis, alopecia, allergic reactions.

Dosing and Administration
Inside, on an empty stomach (do not eat for 1.5 hours before and after taking). With rheumatoid arthritis, hepatitis, scleroderma: 1-4 weeks - 1 caps. (150 mg) per day (up to 250 mg); 5-8 weeks - 1 caps. (250 mg) per day (up to 450 mg); 9-13 weeks - 1 caps. Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis: with a body weight of less than 20 kg - 1 caps. (50 mg) per day, over 20 kg - 1 (50 mg) 2 times a day; Increase the dose by 50 mg with 2-4 weeks intervals to 15-20 mg / kg or 600 mg per day. Wilson-Konovalov's disease: adults - a gradual increase in dosage from 250 mg to 2 grams per day, children - from 150 to 750 mg per day. Cystinuria - 1000 mg / m2 of the body surface.
