Olympic champion Nikita Kryukov told whether a drug used among Russian skiers during the Olympics in Sochi in 2014.

- We want and should have been better. We had to win the gold. For us, Russian, Games in Sochi have been World War II. We had to win the rest of the world.

Russia has invested a lot in the Olympics. Prizes were huge. We believed in victory. Easily I have been highly motivated and worked hard to win at home. The victory was grandiose, but we had to take a few more gold medals. We were not the best ski nation, but won the game in the overall standings. It was the most important.

- What do you think about McLaren's report?

- His accusations were specific. For me it is a political case. I have not seen anything similar to what is stated in the report. I have not seen that easy to do something ill. We have been open about where were and what they were doing. But I can only speak for skiers.

After doping problems until 2010 in our Russian ski racing were the only cases of meldonium buy. But I do not think it's dope. It is a question of policy. Meldonium for sale was a certain way stimulates some muscle, but it's not like, for example, asthma medicine, "- said Kryukov.
