Sports doctor explained his position on Meldonium case.

The history of this interview is very interesting. In early March, when Meldonium (mildronate) scandal was just beginning to flare up, we talked about the situation with skater Ekaterina Bobrova, who surrendered a positive doping test for Mildronate. Sportswoman herself denied the fact of the use of this drug. Speaking about the versions of the appearance in the body of Bobrova traces of Meldonium, it was mentioned the name of Philip Shvetsky doctor who worked for the Russian team doctor figure skating at the European Championships in Bratislava.

In this article we talked about the fact that the doctor a year before the Olympic Games in Beijing has worked with the national team in rowing, and his actions led to the fact that just six of our rowers were disqualified for unauthorized intravenous infusion. - I strongly agree with your version of what we all do common business - began Shvetsky. - Making for the athletes, and only by combining their efforts in this direction, we can help athletes achieve their goals superhuman. But no one is immune from some deficiencies in such work. Therefore, timely clarification will help to protect us from attacks.

- Please tell then about your role in the history of Russian rowers?

- Indeed, in 2007 the International Federation of Rowing (the FISA) has accused the Russian Federation of Rowing (FGSR) in the application of legal means of illegal methods. Eight violations were identified. Given in existence in the same year, another case of the use of all our means of federation banned faced a ban visits waters of international competition athletes, coaches and medical staff for two years.
