Amfepramone (Amphepramonum, Phepranonum) is an anorexigenic agent or a suppressor of appetite which is implemented due to psychogogic properties of drug.
Mechanism of action
Stimulates the center of saturation and brakes the center of hunger; stimulates a cortex of larger cerebral hemispheres, has practically no peripheric adrenostimul effect. Raises a metabolism (in insignificant degree), promotes depression of body weight. Time of offensive of pharmacodinamic effect is 30-60 min., duration - 8 h. Do not forget take Cerebramin for better results.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension, myocardial infarction, pheochromocytoma, pituitary body adenoma, diabetes mellitus, psychosis, epilepsy, thyrotoxicosis, glaucoma, children's age (up to 12 years).
Side effects
Tachycardia, headache, sleeplessness, rising of the ABP, digestive disturbance and others.
Course administration and doses:
Inside, on 25 mg 2-3 times a day in 30-60 min. prior to food in combination with sub caloric diet; at insufficient effect - 100 mg/days. A course of treatment - 6-10 weeks; a repeated course - in 3 months. To children 12 years are more senior prescribe a half of a dose of adults.
