AGAPURIN (Pentoxifylline)
structure and release form
Active ingredient is oentocsifillin.
1 ml of solution for injections contains Pentoxifylline of 20 mg; in ampoules on 5 ml, in a box - 5 pieces.
1 dragees - 100 mg; in vials of dark glass - 60 pieces.
Pharmacokinetics
It is soaked up quickly, from the prolonged form it is released slowly, the maximum concentration is defined in 2 hours after reception (in 12 hours decreases to 25%). It is distributed evenly, removed by kidneys (about 94%) and an intestine (about 4%) in the form of metabolites (only about 2% - in not changed look); in the first 4 hours about 90% of a dose is removed.
Indications to use
- Disturbances of periphery circulation during an exercise stress.
- Trophic disturbances (varicose ulcers, frostbites, etc.).
- Angioneyropatiya (paresthesia, Crocq's disease).

Contraindications
Acute myocardial infarction, massive bleeding, cerebral hemorrhages.

Interaction
Synergy with antihypertensive (sympatholytics, ganglioblokator, vazodilatator, etc.).
Route of administration and doses
Inside, after food, without chewing, washing down with a small amount of liquid, 2 dragees 3 times a day within 1 week; at sharp dropping of the ABP the dose is reduced to 1 dragee by 3 times a day, the same doses apply at a long course of treatment.
V/v (struyno or by drop infusion), intravenously (struyno or by drop infusion), intramuscularly. The dose and the scheme of treatment are established individually.
Precautionary measures
It is necessary to apply under control of the ABP: at hypotension and lability of a circulation sharp hypotension and an attack of stenocardia can develop. At a heart failure administration of cardiac glycosides is necessary. At the patients with a diabetes mellitus accepting hypoglycemic agents, purpose of high doses of Agapurin can cause the expressed hypoglycemia therefore doses of hypoglycemic agents have to be corrected.
