22 Dec 2016
The head of WADA Craig Reedy warned athletes on the introduction of a new list of prohibited substances, and that the monitoring of intake of doping will be tough.
- Athletes and their surroundings have plenty of time to pre-acquainted with the new list of prohibited substances. There will be no tolerance for people who knowingly violate the rules, - the president of WADA Craig Reedy said.
Recall that WADA has published a new list of banned drugs to reception, which will take effect from January 1, 2017.
Last year, a similar list was included Meldonium. Later in the doping samples of several hundred athletes, including Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova, it was discovered a substance which led to the disqualification.
