Structure and Composition

Eye drops 0.25 ml of 1%

2.5 mg of timolol maleate

in vials-droppers of 5 ml; in a cardboard box 1 or 3 pieces.

0.5% eye drops 1 ml

timolol maleate 5 mg

in vials-droppers of 5 ml with the ring of the first opening; in a cardboard box 1 or 3 pieces.

antiglaucoma.

Beta-adrenoceptor blocking, lowers intraocular pressure.

Indications

Chronic open-angle glaucoma, glaucoma in patients with lens removal, secondary glaucoma.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, rhinitis, bronchial asthma, corneal dystrophy, AV block II-III degree, pregnancy.

Side effects

Conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis, visual disturbances, heart rhythm disorders, drop in blood pressure, AV block, heart failure, bronchospasm, rash, urticaria.

Interaction

With simultaneous use of drugs to reduce high blood pressure may potentiate hypotension and bradycardia.

Dosing and Administration

1 drop of 0.25-0.5% solution into each eye 1-2 times a day.
