Pharmacokinetics

When applied locally, it penetrates through the skin and accumulates in therapeutic concentrations at the site of action. The doses administered in the form of 1% gel are comparable to the usual daily doses for oral administration. For the therapeutic effect of the drug, the concentration created at the site of action is more important than its concentration in the plasma. Comparison of the excretion of the drug and its metabolites with ingestion and topical application showed that almost the same metabolites are released.
